Mini Cooper D 2009 Review

Is it possible to buy an economical car that isn't dull as ditchwater? Yes! The Mini Cooper D is the first example of an economical car that is both fun to drive and fun to own. The Cooper D combines go-kart handling, a 121mph top speed and a 0-62mph of 9.9 seconds with an impressive combined fuel consumption of 72.4mpg and 104 grams/KM of C02. Thats the same fuel consumption as a Toyota Prius, but unlike the Prius driver, you'll be saving the planet whilst having a great time!

Specifying the John Cooper Works body kit (as pictured) gives you the go-faster styling of the mad Mini Cooper S Works, combining the styling of the fastest mini with the fuel consumption of the most economical mini. This option is highly recommended due its effect on other traffic; most drives mistakingly identify you as a super-fast mini and quickly get of your way! However, practicality is not one of the Minis strong points. The boot is tiny and the rear seat passengers will notice a distinct lack of leg room. But these are minor niggles. Overall, the Mini Cooper D shows that economy and fun are not mutually exclusive by combining go-kart handling, Prius economy and good looks in a hugely desirable package.
