Lil Jamz are rocking!

Monster’s Lil’ Jamz are the cheapest headphones Monster offer, but don’t let the word ‘cheap’ put you off because next to their Studio Beats by Dre which costs $349.95 they may seem cheap, but they still cost $89.95 and are worth every penny!

The Lil’ Jamz come in Monster’s typical extensive packaging which already gives you a indication of the quality of their products, in this case the Lil Jamz. The headphones are made from one solid piece of metal which looks beautiful and cancels out any unwanted noise and vibrations which could ruin your music listening, but also made them virtually indestructible and extremely volatile.

The durability, however, is not the only positive feature, as these headphones look great, feel great and sound great.

The Sound:

The headphone’s sound quality blew our mind the first time weplayed them. Compared to theSennheiser CX 400 headphones that I bought a while back which are approximately the same price, they are clearer, louder and the bass is more deep, potent and powerful. Monster are actually known for their high quality cables and it is these cables which contribute to the incredible sounds these earphones produce. The headphone contacts are plated with 24K gold to ensure the music gets transfers along at the highest quality possible.

In the manual included in the package, Monster say that these headphones have a break-in period meaning I haven’t even heard the best of them yet! They get better the more you play them.

One disadvantage...

I noticed, over a period of time, the jack became slightly loose and lost connection to one earphone unless added pressure. This, for myself, can be a problem however the quality of the sound of these headphones produce definatly does balance out the pros and cons of this amazing piece of technology.

Conclusion:

For their price, these headphones are definitely worth every penny. Everything about these headphones is great and if these are the headphones that Monster can produce for a price of only $79.99, I can’t even imagine how good their high-end headphones like the Studio Beats by Dre headphones are!

Sony Bravia HD Projector Review

Sony's latest projector, the VPL-HW10 is one of a new generation of projectors that bring High Definition (HD) to the big screen. The main attraction of the VPL-HW10 is that at £1695, it represents excellent value for money (well compared to other HD projectors which can cost up to £5k!).

The natural advantage of a projector is screen size, and with a screen width of up to 9 feet the VPL-HW10 packs the big screen punch. More impressive is picture quality, which is both supremely sharp (of coarse, its HD) and bright (1000 lumens). The VPL-HW10 also incorporates something called an 'Advanced Iris', which helps the projector to achieve a 30000:1 contrast ratio. For those you that arent projector anoraks, it means that picture detailing is excellent for a projector at this price point. Hooked up to a Playstation 3, the VPL-HW10 coped admirably with fast moving games such as Wipeout Fusion, although with such a big screen you do start to feel a bit sick. The only problem i had was that picture quality was significantly reduced during daytime operation due to intrusion of natural light, but this is a drawback of all projectors! They also could have tried a little harder with the design, which is a bit dull unless you love black. But overall, the Sony VPL-HW10 provides a true step forward in viewing experience over non-HD projectors whilst representing excellent value for monet at £1695.

Apple Macbook Pro 17” Review

What do you look for in a laptop? Well judging by the success of Apple's Macbook series, you are probably looking for all the features in the subject of todays review, the Macbook Pro 17". This supersized Macbook Pro recieves the same "unibody" aluminum chassis and buttonless trackpad of the smaller Macbook Pro models, but crucially gains a beautiful and amazingly sharp LED 17" Display. But what else does this supermodel laptop bring to the table?

One of the speacial features of Macbook Pro 17" is a clever Nvidia chipset which includes two graphics cards, one for low performance and one for higher performance (the Nvidia GeForce 9600m GT). This dual system provides a highly adaptable graphics platform that is both high power and high efficiency. Despite packing a very premium pricetag (£1899), the Macbook Pro is the default option for style conscious professionals, due to its sleek design, excellent build quality and intuitive user interface. The 17" display is also perfectly suited to screen-space hungry applications like Photoshop, whilst an impressive battery life of 6-8 hours makes mobile working a real option. No other laptop can offer such a complete package in terms of design, features and user friendliness. If your after the best all-round laptop, then walk this way!

Macbook Sleeve: Original ColcaSac Review

Remember the time you were out playing in the forests, picking apples, swimming in lakes and walking around wearing your Sherpa-material bag? Ah, the memories. Do you want to revisit your childhood from the comfort of your office? Then the 'Original Colcasac' is the ideal product for you.

The 'Original ColcaSac', which is in fact a macbook (pro) sleeve, is made from burlap and 100% Sherpa fleece which gives it a nice feel. An Apple Macbook fits snugly into the ColcaSac, which provide excellent protection without destroying the finish. This is because the inside of the ColcaSac is made out of a soft, navy blue wool which comforts your macbook and helps minimize scratching.

One testimonial about the 'Original Colcasac' explained that someone dropped their Macbook (In the Sleeve) out of her car at 20 mph and (thankfully) the macbook survived with minimal dents and scratches due to the protective abilities of the Colcasac. Simply amazing.

The Colcasac retails at $29.99 and is available at colcasac.com

The Cervélo P3 is the fastest time trial bike ever. In the 2005 Tour de France, David Zabriskie achieved an average speed of 55 kph (34.0mph) over 19km (12 miles) of flat terrain. Thats not bad for a car, let alone a bicycle! So was man or machine responsible for this amazing turn of speed? We can not be sure, but after riding the Cervélo C3, it is clear that this bicycle is something very special. The Cervélo is constructed entirely from carbonfibre, and although it is not the lightest bike, it is certainly the most aerodynamic with the front forks, frame and saddle designed with an aerofoil shaped crossection to reduce drag.

At low speed the Cervélo rides like any other bike, but at high speed with your hands stretched out in the superman position using the 'tri bars', the windtunnel work turns this bike into a perpetual motion machine. Without trying you could easily maintain 20mph, with a little bit of effort you would be up to 25mph and if your David Zabriskie wannabe then 30mph is on the cards. Simply put, no other bike maintains high speed like the Cervélo C3. Downsides? Well, unfortunately the bike can not make up for a lack of fitness, so if you want to experience what the bike is capable of then you need to get training! A price of £2399.99 is also on the high side, but you pay for what you get. Overall, the Cervélo C3 is simply the Daddy of all high speed road bikes.
