Monster are actually known for their high quality cables and it is these cables which contribute to the incredible sounds these earphones produce. The headphone contacts are plated with 24K gold to ensure the music gets transfers along at the highest quality possible.

In the manual included in the package, Monster say that these headphones have a break-in period meaning I haven’t even heard the best of them yet! The main attraction of the VPL-HW10 is that at £1695, it represents excellent value for money (well compared to other HD projectors which can cost up to £5k!).

The natural advantage of a projector is screen size, and with a screen width of up to 9 feet the VPL-HW10 packs the big screen punch. More impressive is picture quality, which is both supremely sharp (of coarse, its HD) and bright (1000 lumens). The VPL-HW10 also incorporates something called an 'Advanced Iris', which helps the projector to achieve a 30000:1 contrast ratio. For those you that arent projector anoraks, it means that picture detailing is excellent for a projector at this price point. Hooked up to a Playstation 3, the VPL-HW10 coped admirably with fast moving games such as Wipeout Fusion, although with such a big screen you do start to feel a bit sick. The only problem i had was that picture quality was significantly reduced during daytime operation due to intrusion of natural light, but this is a drawback of all projectors! They also could have tried a little harder with the design, which is a bit dull unless you love black. Well judging by the success of Apple's Macbook series, you are probably looking for all the features in the subject of todays review, the Macbook Pro 17". This supersized Macbook Pro recieves the same "unibody" aluminum chassis and buttonless trackpad of the smaller Macbook Pro models, but crucially gains a beautiful and amazingly sharp LED 17" Display. But what else does this supermodel laptop bring to the table?

One of the speacial features of Macbook Pro 17" is a clever Nvidia chipset which includes two graphics cards, one for low performance and one for higher performance (the Nvidia GeForce 9600m GT). This dual system provides a highly adaptable graphics platform that is both high power and high efficiency. Despite packing a very premium pricetag (£1899), the Macbook Pro is the default option for style conscious professionals, due to its sleek design, excellent build quality and intuitive user interface. The 17" display is also perfectly suited to screen-space hungry applications like Photoshop, whilst an impressive battery life of 6-8 hours makes mobile working a real option. No other laptop can offer such a complete package in terms of design, features and user friendliness. Ah, the memories. Do you want to revisit your childhood from the comfort of your office? Then the 'Original Colcasac' is the ideal product for you.

The 'Original ColcaSac', which is in fact a macbook (pro) sleeve, is made from burlap and 100% Sherpa fleece which gives it a nice feel. An Apple Macbook fits snugly into the ColcaSac, which provide excellent protection without destroying the finish. This is because the inside of the ColcaSac is made out of a soft, navy blue wool which comforts your macbook and helps minimize scratching.

One testimonial about the 'Original Colcasac' explained that someone dropped their Macbook (In the Sleeve) out of her car at 20 mph and (thankfully) the macbook survived with minimal dents and scratches due to the protective abilities of the Colcasac. Simply amazing.

The Colcasac retails at $29.99 and is available at colcasac.com

James

Cervélo P3 Review

The Cervélo P3 is the fastest time trial bike ever. In the 2005 Tour de France, David Zabriskie achieved an average speed of 55 kph (34.0mph) over 19km (12 miles) of flat terrain. Thats not bad for a car, let alone a bicycle! So was man or machine responsible for this amazing turn of speed? We can not be sure, but after riding the Cervélo C3, it is clear that this bicycle is something very special. The Cervélo is constructed entirely from carbonfibre, and although it is not the lightest bike, it is certainly the most aerodynamic with the front forks, frame and saddle designed with an aerofoil shaped crossection to reduce drag.

At low speed the Cervélo rides like any other bike, but at high speed with your hands stretched out in the superman position using the 'tri bars', the windtunnel work turns this bike into a perpetual motion machine. Without trying you could easily maintain 20mph, with a little bit of effort you would be up to 25mph and if your David Zabriskie wannabe then 30mph is on the cards. Simply put, no other bike maintains high speed like the Cervélo C3. Downsides? Well, unfortunately the bike can not make up for a lack of fitness, so if you want to experience what the bike is capable of then you need to get training! A price of £2399.99 is also on the high side, but you pay for what you get. Overall, the Cervélo C3 is simply the Daddy of all high speed road bikes.

Dan

Mini Cooper D 2009 Review

Is it possible to buy an economical car that isn't dull as ditchwater? Yes! The Mini Cooper D is the first example of an economical car that is both fun to drive and fun to own. The Cooper D combines go-kart handling, a 121mph top speed and a 0-62mph of 9.9 seconds with an impressive combined fuel consumption of 72.4mpg and 104 grams/KM of C02. Thats the same fuel consumption as a Toyota Prius, but unlike the Prius driver, you'll be saving the planet whilst having a great time!

Specifying the John Cooper Works body kit (as pictured) gives you the go-faster styling of the mad Mini Cooper S Works, combining the styling of the fastest mini with the fuel consumption of the most economical mini. This option is highly recommended due its effect on other traffic; most drives mistakingly identify you as a super-fast mini and quickly get of your way! However, practicality is not one of the Minis strong points. The boot is tiny and the rear seat passengers will notice a distinct lack of leg room. But these are minor niggles. Overall, the Mini Cooper D shows that economy and fun are not mutually exclusive by combining go-kart handling, Prius economy and good looks in a hugely desirable package.

Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II Review

The Harman Kardon Soundsticks 2 speakers are the type of product which you will receive many comments about if people were to walk into your room. They are very unique, desirable and compact speakers that simultaneously deliver substantial sound quality for their deceptively small 40 watt output.

The material used for the soundsticks is a clear acyclic, which make the soundsticks look simple, yet elegant. By using this unique material, Harmon Kardon have created a product that looks high-tech and little bit out of this world. The clear acyclic exposes all of the internal wires which connect the speakers to the bass hub. The design really would compliment your Macintosh Computer.

Conclusion

For a pair of Mac/Mp3 speakers, the Soundsticks are an absolute dream. They are simple to set up, and the universal 3.5mm jack connector means you can plug it into almost any audio device. Another fantastic feature are the touch-sensitive buttons for volume control. The sound quality is incredible, and placing the sub on the floor really emphasizes the bass. Both listening to music and watching films has never been so enjoyable!

Pros

Substantial Sound Quality

Blue LED on Sub woofer adds to the design

Touch sensitive Buttons for Volume Control

Great Bass

Unique and good looking

Attractive Price (£99.99 depending on retailer)

Cons

Many cables included, this tends to lead to messy desks and poor cable management

James

Crossfire EX 600mW Laser Review

Remember that laser pointer you once bought from a dodgy dealer on a school trip? Well, things have moved on in the laser world since then. The Crossfire EX 600mW represents the cream of the current crop of hand-held lasers. 600mW indicates the power of the Crossfire's laser beam. For reference, a standard pointer has a 5mW laser beam. This means that the Crossfire effectively has a beam 100 times more powerful than your standard pointer, visible in broad daylight. Mummy i'm scared...

What can one do with such power? Well, you could point at stars, but inevitably you'll point at a police helicopter and end up doing time. Alternatively, you can use the Crossfire's super-beam to pop balloons, light matches or even burn through scotch tape. If your a star wars fan, why not use it as a light saber, albeit a light saber with a 50 mile, yes 50 mile beam! If you do point the beam into the sky on a clear night (away from police helicopters) it will actually reach to the edge of earths upper atmosphere! Such power.

But remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Fortunately, the Crossfire EX 600 mW packs a massive £2000 price tag, keeping it out of the hands of delinquents, but also out of financial reach to all but the most dedicated laser fan. Ultimately, the Crossfire EX 600 mW cannot justify its ridiculous price tag, but as a piece of technology it is hugely desirable. Watch a lower powered Crossfire 300mW light a match by clicking the link below.

Crossfire Laser Match-light

Dan

2review needs your Help!

Hello loved followers, i ask one great favor of you all. This Map pack comes with 3 exclusive multiplayer maps; Banzai, Sub Pens, Corrosion and the map which is most talked about, Shi No Numa. Treyarch have tried to keep WaW alive due to the hype of the announcement of Modern Warfare 2, but could this be the gravestone for Call of Duty: WaW? Lets have a look at the new Sub Pens Multiplayer map.

Subs Pens is based in the shipyards of WW2, where an astronomical collection of half-constructed submarines and empty cargo ships are waiting to be battled in. The lightness of this map is rather low so i would recommend to keep your eyes open and to equip a Light machine gun or SMG, such as a MP40. The map in comparison to all the other maps would be located around the bottom of the spectrum of size; it being rather small, but compressed with many hiding spots and areas to penetrate and battle in. The Map was constructed to appease headquarters and domination, as the enemy could attack from any angle and the structure of the map helps the team split up into small groups of 2 or 3 to capture other flags or bases.

Lets move onto Banzai.

Banzai is basically a giant tropical forest, possibly located in Vietnam or Japan. This map is delightful to view on a 1080p monitor as it releases the whole spectrum of colours onto the map, some which are included are deep, tropical greens, vibrant blues and deep browns, expressing every pixel of your High-definition monitor. This is a perfect team objective match as it has many caves and cliffs which are perfect for bolt-action rifles, machine guns, and ultimately to penetrate into the enemies base without being caught. The centerpiece of the map, the Bridge plays a key role in many game modes, such as War. This map can really test your gaming skills as you need to think very tactically about what you will do.

Now onto Corrosion.

Corrosion is located in the mines were crates of ore are being collected and mined. The maps Brightness is high, so don't be worried if a enemy is in front of you as you will be able to clearly see the enemy, not just a few metres away but much further away. Due to the brightness this map is ideal for snipers and riflemen. There are many options to take when attacking the enemy base or planting the bomb which makes this map ideal for Search and Destroy and Sabotage players.

Now Shi No Numa.

Shi No Numa is the new Multiplayer Zombie Map which is located deep in the 'knee deep swamps'. The basic objective of this map is to kill as many zombies as you can until you die. This time it has changed slightly. Now, every so often a multitude of dogs will start to charge at you; Very difficult if you are playing solo but slightly easier if you are in a party. Every time you begin Shi No Numa you will be selected to take on the role as one of 4 different characters. Each character you en-role as has many different emotions and sayings. The map is Shi No Numa is much different to the other Zombie maps, as now you can venture outside and even settle into different huts. As you a enter one of four huts, each one will contain a different Perk-A-Cola machine, so you can use this to buy the selected Perk.

Shi No Numa now contains a exclusive weapon, the Wunderwaffle DG-2. This is a weapon which emits a burst electric shocks onto the zombies. One shot can kill up to 20 zombies! Other features included in the new online franchise include, electric fences, the introduction of the Type 100 onto zombies, Zip lines for quick evasion and traps.

Treyarch has really set a new standard line with the Map Pack 2, showing the lack of detail with Map Pack 1. The colossal amount of features included with this Map Pack is phenomenal and is really worth the £7.99. Buy Now.

Good Features

Use of 1080p with Banzai

Shi No Numa lived up to expectations

Features included with Map Pack

Introduction Of Trophies to online

Maps to accommodate many game modes.

Bad Features

Shi No Numa can become laggy and static at times

Would be better if the Map Packs were free

Posted by James

Audi RS6 Avant 2009 Review

570bhp. 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds.
